Work Starts on New German Factory for DWS

 

The groundworks commenced this week on a new German factory and offices for Don Whitley Scientific’s German subsidiary, Meintrup-DWS Laborgeräte GmbH. The site, in Holte-Lastrup near Herzlake, will accommodate a 4,000 sq m building and is due for completion in 2016.

Staff from the current office in Lähden-Holte donned their corporate t-shirts to celebrate the start of the build – and even dug a few holes to get the contractors started.

Managing Director of DWS, Paul Walton, commented: “This is a significant investment for Don Whitley Scientific. We have maintained an office in Germany since 1998 but have outgrown the current premises. This new development will provide much needed office space, production facilities and expansion room for what is a very important European base for the organisation.”
